We believe that if we want to enjoy skiing and board in the
beautiful Pirin mountains we should be prepared do our part to help to
preserve this Unesco protected area by
following our Green Policy:
- The majority of the chalets' heating and hot
water
comes from burners powered by local & renewable energy sources
rather than electricity.
- Whenever possible buy organic and local produce, avoiding
unnecessary transport costs and chemicals being added into our
atmosphere.
- Keep a paperless booking system and have no literature in
print.
- All light bulbs to be replaced with low energy bulbs,
whenever
possible.
- 'Save our Snow' signs in chalets to remind guests to conserve
light & heat.
- Chalet recycling is undertaken daily for paper, glass, cans
& plastic.
- Every new electrical product purchased is energy-efficient
class 'A' or higher.
- Only replace guest towels if requested.
- Offset our seasonal carbon emmissions and offer guests the
opportunity to offset their flights through the Climate Care
website
(as recommended by US charity Clean Air Cool Planet).
