Dobrinishte is
situated at the edge of the Pirin National Park - the largest one in
Bulgaria - where the alpine terrain boasts 60 spectacular peaks over
2500
meters high. Trekking above the tree line offers stunning views towards
Greece and across Kotlovina, the flat plain that lies between the
mountain ranges of the Pirin, the Rila and the Rhodopes.
The Dobrinishte chair lift operates throughout the year, providing
easy access
to the mountain at 2020m. This is a starting point for some of the
hikes in the region which enable you to breath pristine air and
discover amazing crystal clear
lakes, the first being Bezbog Lake, only a few strides from the lift
arrival point.
These untouched mountains appeal to walkers of all levels. You can head
through the meadows of Edelweiss flowers to the surging waterfalls of
Julenski Skokove or take the ultimate challenge of the Vihren Peak and
seek out the highest point of the Pirin, also known as
'the peak of Storms'.
