With
the best snow
record in Bulgaria, North-facing slopes and huge investment in recent
years, Bansko offers great skiing for all abilities with the best
opportunities
for experts found off-piste.
For the 2007/2008 season, we were already skiing in mid-November (have
a look at our video) and
the resort brought forward its opening date to the 1st December 2007.
The wide, tree lined pistes
attract plenty of snow each
year but remain fairly quiet, especially during low season when it
is not uncommon to have a piste entirely to yourself.

Beginners and improvers
will find a good selection of blue runs on
which to practise, whilst intermediates will
love the criss-crossing
network of blues and reds.
The Alberto Tomba black and
some of
the reds should challenge
advanced
skiers & boarders but for those looking for
more, Bansko
has a
superb selection of off-piste territory and has
been host to a number
of extreme competitions. As Europe's newest ski resort the back country
terrain remains as yet relatively untracked.

Freestyle fans will have plenty to
keep them occupied with the snow
park and the snow cones that are unique to Bansko.
Dobrinishte, at present
seperate from
Bansko,
offers a further 7km of quiet pistes. In high season the 2 beginners
drags, the good intermediate and the advanced black slopes and the
excellent
off-piste remain uncrowded. If you fancy a change from Bansko, just let
us know and we will drive over there in our minibus.
We use Salomon Ski School
& Hire Shop for equipment rental and ski school - they provide
an excellent and friendly service.
Method Ski School
is the first English Ski School in Bansko. They are also
highly reccommended for their excellent tuition from English
Instructors.
